The debut record from Fallen Eyelash (aka Danyon Saxon) From There… is out now. It’s an ambitious work that utilises a tuning system where the octave is divided into 22 equal steps. Because of this, it takes a little time to get into this one, but there is this nice settling as your ear grows accustomed to the intonation. A pop sensibility shines throughout, creating an interesting tension in the music between groove, melody, harmony and listener expectation.
Truely wild music and such a great project to work on.
