Bribes — Caught in the Corners

Bribes sophomore album Caught in the Corners is out Friday the 13th.

Having expand from trio to quartet the group now covers more sonic and songwriting territory, with flashes of synthesiser and allusions of the theatrical nature. It’s a really nice progression from the first record without losing this classic (in a good way) feel to every tune.

Caught in the Corners is the RTRFM Local Feature Release for the week of March 9th, 2026.

Drop in to The Bird on March 13th to celebrate the launch.

Recorded by Benny J Ward at Pink House Recording
Mixed by Jeremy Segal at Trouble in the Waves

Cryptids — Cryptids

Cryptids self-titled debut album is out now!

Sonically it folds together a few compositional flavours—lyrics forward and focused, pentatonic guitar melodies over laidback strumming, flurries of flute, spoken word over ambience, and moments of heavier, harsher guitar. Out on limited edition compact disc via Bandcamp.

Recorded by Broderick Madden-Scott at Tuna Fish Recording
Mixed by Jordan Shakespeare
Mastered by Dan @ENCODERSound.

Cryptids — Cobwebs

New music from Cryptids out now.

Driving, deep drums and aggressive chorus guitars on this introspective feeling song.

From lead singer, Dan Morey

To me, this song is about mental illness and feeling like a burden when going through rough patches.

Recorded by Broderick Madden-Scott at Tuna Fish Recording
Mixed by Jordan Shakespeare
Mastered by Dan @ENCODERSound.

Michael Terren — It ends in a crypt

Michael Terren’s work for ruined pianos It ends in a crypt is out now.

On its surface this record is an intriguing and enveloping listen, the playing and capture drawing the listener into unique resonances and mechanics of five ruined pianos. What gives the project real weight (and I think you can feel it) is the connection between Michael and Ross Bolleter (musician, writer, Zen teacher, and keeper of the pianos). The two sharing a long friendship and collaboration that extends a lineage of ruined piano playing, improvisation, and composition here in Boorloo.
