Mia June’s single ‘Evil’ is out now on Father Daughter Records. Heavy, low, thick distortion with a close, airy vocal. It’s boldly dark, brooding music, that hits really hard.

Thomas MacGregor — Autopilot
Thomas MacGregor is back with the ‘Autopilot’ single. I dig the acoustic guitar tone on this one, kind of caresses the ear, and with the comfy tempo makes for a really chill listen. As usual Tom’s in the finest of voice and the vocal blend works so well on the hook. Keep an ear out for the debut album, due November.

Stella Mayn — Be Okay! - EP
Stella Mayn’s debut EP ‘Be Okay!’ is out now. The EP effortlessly flows through a number of shades across four tracks: ‘Dreamworld’ forward, driving, danceable; ‘Sucker’ drops back, sits lower, with heavy synth bass; ‘The Bends’ closer, more intimate, with a nice airy vocal; and, ‘Better when you’re beside me’ brings the guitars. I dig the crisp production from the team and the always controlled and classily inflected vocal performance.

Thomas MacGregor — Tow Truck Crucifix
Today Thomas MacGregor releases the ‘Tow Truck Crucifix’ single. This one kind of lopes thoughtfully, opens up for the pre-chorus and digs in for a hooky, singalong chorus. The entanglement of singable melody and lyricism is always a highlight in Tom’s work.

Stella Mayn — Dreamworld
Stella Mayn’s fresh single ‘Dreamworld’ is out now. Crispy, sparkly percussion shimmers above a real solid bass line. Little synth moments add a funness to the groove, and Stella’s voice floats through the image anchoring everything. You can’t help but move to it.
Dreamworld hits the WAM Fresh Picks Playlist for the week of August 17th, 2026.
