Lyndon Blue with Flora Carbo — Winding

Lyndon Blue’s field recording travels and studio practice take the form of Winding this time around. In Lyndon’s words: “these are tunes created ad hoc and on the move in Mexico using an old ipad and a broken tape dictaphone.”

The grooves are nicely off kilter and the shell sonically tingling. Additions from Flora Carbo on saxophone pull on existent threads, winding a path through the album and ultimately binding it together. Revel in the grit, listen through the noise, and try it in one sitting for maximum effect.

Winding is the RTRFM Local Feature Release for the week of May 18th, 2026.

Stuart Orchard — Right Idea Done Wrong

Stuart Orchard releases ‘Right Idea Done Wrong.’ This one leans heavy on the drums, acoustic guitars shimmering in the top end, and electric guitars articulate and long decaying in the background. I like the way it fills in over the tune, breaking into the bridge and receding into the breakdown. Textural and driving throughout.

Mixed by Mark Ralph and Stuart Orchard

Mia June — Pet

Mia June’s single ‘Pet’ is out now on Father Daughter Records. This one takes us from an intimate, close vocal to heavy beating drums and distorted guitars. The toms really jump in this track in an exciting way, shades of Nirvana through the guitar tone, and the vocal delivers lyrics of substance.

Recorded at Audrey Studios
Produced and mixed by Anna Laverty
Additional mixing by Paddy W
Cover photography Peter Sherlock
Mastered by Dan at ENCODER Sound.
