Heathcote Blue’s first single of 2024 is ‘Parallel Parks.’ The guitars, drum groove, and smooth multitracked vocal give this one such buoyancy. It feels like a lighter moment on the upcoming album, but as with much of Heathcote Blue’s fare, there’s a subtle, ever-present melancholy that adds so much character.

Sanderling is the new EP from Montana Wildhack. It’s sometimes dreamy, occassionally crunchy, and always deeply grooving. The music and production has a kind of retro timelessness about it which is really nice.
The track ‘Slow Country’ is in the RTRFM Sound Selection for the week starting January 22nd, 2024.
